My 9 year old sister, Megan, recently watched a lot of crepe cake videos, and really wanted me to make her one. The nearest place to get a crepe cake is 40 minutes away, so I wanted to make it possible at home. This was my first try, and it went delectable-ly well!

Crepe cake is basically a lot of crepes stacked up on each other, with light fluffy whipped cream in between each one. The dessert is light, fluffy, with the chewy texture of the crepe. It's a fun dessert, and one you can easily get creative with.

I always make desserts in bulk, which is always a mistake since nobody in my family (besides Megan and I) like desserts. So this recipe ended up being a smaller portioning between 2-4 people rather than 5+. Click here to watch the video I followed when making this.

Here is the recipe:

Crepe:

Dry ingredients

1/2 cup of all purpose flower

1 tbsp of cocoa powder

2 tbsp of sugar

Wet ingredients

1 egg

1 tbsp melted butter

1/2 cup of milk

Steps:

1. Sift the flour, cocoa, and sugar into a bowl

2. Mix these ingredients until one solid color

3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg until one color

4. Add butter, and milk, whisking continuously until one color

5. Add the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, whisk until combined and no dry particles left

Now time to make the crepes

6. Butter/grease a flat, small pan (this will help the crepes come off easier)

7. Scoop 1/4 cup of the mixture onto the pan and spread it out (as best you can) to be a circle and even

8. Cook on medium heat until the bottom of the crepe is able to come off

9. Flip the crepe, cook until bottom of crepe can come off

10. Slide crepe off the pan, onto a plate, and repeat 6-10 until all of your batter is gone

11. Put plate of crepes into the fridge to cool (so whip cream won't melt when applying)

Whipped Cream:

1 1/3 cup of heavy whip cream

1/4 cup of sugar

1 tsp of vanilla extract

8 oreo tops

Steps:

1. With an electric mixer, mix the heavy whip cream

2. Add in sugar slowly while mixing

3. Add in vanilla extract while mixing

4. Keep mixing until whipped cream consistency (soft peaks)

5. Put the oreo tops in a plastic bag and crush until they are crumbs

Assembling the cake:

1. Cut all the crepes into circles, using a cookie cutter or outlining a small bowl placed on top of the crepe

2. Lay down a crepe

3. Layer with a thick coating of whipped cream to your taste

4. Sprinkle with oreo crumbs

5. Repeat until crepes are gone

I found this to be a super easy first time recipe and easy to follow! The crepe cake turned out beautiful, fluffy, and held the parts perfectly. My sister said it was a 10/10 and said it tasted just like the store bought ones ! The cook time for these cakes were under an hour, and it's easy to store, just refrigerate it.
